RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS: Sealed proposals for the work described below will be received at the Office of the City Administrator, City of Redwood Falls, 333 South Washington, P.O. Box 526, Redwood Falls, MN 56283-0526 until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The work includes the construction of approximately:


  • Construction of Two (2) 65’ x 65’ Bay Hangars
  • Construction of One (1) 55 ’x 45’ Bay Hangar
  • Construction of Four (4) 45’ x 42’ Bay Hangars


  • Deduction of One (1) 45’x42’ Bay Hangar


  • Deduction of Two (2) 45’x42’ Bay Hangars

together with numerous related items of work, all in accordance with Plans and Specifications. This project is subject to Prevailing Wage Rates, Truck Rentals, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Goals, Targeted Group Business Program Goals, and Veteran-Owned Small Business, Equal Employment Opportunity Provisions, Buy American Iron and Steel Provisions, and Responsible Contractor Certification.

COMPLETION OF WORK: It is anticipated the Contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder within 90 calendar days of the bid opening.

Construction operations may not begin prior to Contract Approval. Substantial Completion shall be achieved by December 29, 2018.  Final Completion shall be achieved by June 28, 2019.

BID SECURITY: A certified check or proposal bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid, drawn in favor of City of Redwood Falls shall accompany each bid.

OWNER’S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract to other than the lowest bidder if, in their discretion, the interest of the Owner would be best served thereby.
