Notice to Specialty Vehicle Owners

NOTICE TO SPECIALTY VEHICLE OWNERS
OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD FALLS

 THE REDWOOD FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL BE ENFORCING THE FOLLOWING CITY ORDINANCE:

It is potentially a misdemeanor for any person to operate a specialty vehicle (4-Wheeler/ATV, Motorized Bicycle, Golf Cart or Mini Truck) on a City of Redwood Falls street, alley, sidewalk or other public property without obtaining a permit. All permits will be verified by placing a decal in a clearly visible location on all specialty vehicles.  Each individual operator and/or owner of a specialty vehicle must apply for a permit, they are not transferable.  Permit fee is $30 for a three-year period.

Every application for a permit shall be made on a form supplied by the City and made to the City Clerk and shall contain all of the following information:

  • The full name, address and birth date of the applicant.
  • The nature of the applicant’s physical handicap, if any.
  • Model name, make, year and serial number of the specialty vehicle.
  • Current driver’s license or reason for not having a current license.
  • Evidence of insurance in compliance with the provisions of Minn. Stat. §65B.48, subd. 5, concerning insurance coverage for specialty vehicles.
  • Other information as the city may require.

2020-2022 Specialty Vehicle Permits are now available at City Hall at 333 South Washington Street, Redwood Falls.
