Redwood Area Hospital together with the City of Redwood Falls invite the public to attend a listening session regarding the steps they have taken toward joining the new regional health system, Carris Health, a subsidiary of CentraCare Health.

Listening sessions will be held on May 22nd and May 31st at the Redwood Area Community Center from 6-7 p.m. Representatives from the City of Redwood Falls, Redwood Area Hospital, Carris Health and CentraCare will provide additional information about the affiliation and provide time for the public’s questions. The sessions will be moderated by Briana Mumme, Redwood County economic development coordinator.

Currently, The City of Redwood Falls has signed a Letter of Intent to transfer ownership of Redwood Area Hospital to Carris Health. Definitive agreements are being outlined for approval in July with an anticipated closing date of December 31, 2018.

Joining Carris Health will allow Redwood Area Hospital to create strong regional healthcare delivery for area residents. The Letter of Intent outlines a transfer of ownership to Carris Health with the health system committing to invest $60 million over the next 10 years, including a new health campus bringing both the hospital and Redwood Falls clinic together.
